We are dedicated to create a safe and welcoming environment that promotes taking risks and values each person as a distinct and vital contributor to society. We offer Kindergarden – 5th grade education.
FUELING CURIOSITY
At Pioneer Ridge Elementary, we’re part of the Weld RE-5J District Athletics, a journey of growth and accomplishment that begins right here. While our elementary school athletic programs may be limited, we’re grateful for local opportunities, and those that help to create elementary school activities!
Building our Future
The Foundational History of Pioneer Ridge Elementary
Pioneer Ridge Elementary first opened in August 2005, serving students from Kindergarten through Fifth Grade. The school, which now educates 540 students, was constructed over a full year. This period also included a strategic reconfiguration of the district’s educational structure. Previously, Letford Elementary managed grades 3-5 and Milliken Elementary covered pre-K to grade 2. The reconfiguration aligned Pioneer Ridge, Letford Elementary, and Milliken Elementary to all cater from Kindergarten through Fifth Grade, facilitating stable enrollment and accommodating the district’s growth.
Shortly after opening, Pioneer Ridge Elementary held its first student elections in the fall of 2005, establishing our first student council. This foundational group played a pivotal role in uniting our student body by orchestrating a vote to select our school mascot, the stallion, and our school colors, blue and gold, which remain symbols of our community spirit.
