Counseling Office

Welcome to Pioneer Ridge,  

My name is Erin Nelson and I’m the school counselor. I have spent my entire 20 year career at Pioneer Ridge and it is such a great place to be! I was a 4th grade teacher here for 12 years and this is my 8th year as the school counselor. I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a Bachelors in Elementary education before pursuing my Masters of Science in School Counseling. My main goal as a counselor is to support students with their social, emotional, academic and career development. I collaborate with students, staff, and families to support students at Pioneer Ridge with social emotional support, classroom lessons, small groups, and by working with individuals in need. 

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and four children. I have a dog named Husker. I love to travel, especially to the beach, spending time on the lake, boating, and skiing with my family!

I’m excited to be at Pioneer Ridge for another year and to support our students so they can be their very best!!
